What is ZENTOTEN?

GOALS

Our organization aims at promoting spontaneous and creative development of the art of ceramics. We try to make a contribution to society through mutual friendship among its members, their self-development and cultivating new talent.

ACTIVITIES

We do the following activities to achieve the above-mentioned goals.

  • 1. We annually hold Zentoten Ceramic Art Exhibitions.
  • 2. We occasionally hold regional, circuit, feature and charity exhibitions.
  • 3. We sometimes have study meetings and training programs.
  • 4. We publish and distribute printed materials on the art of ceramics.
  • 5. We do other activities necessary to achieve our goals.

GREETINGS

Keeping its doors wide open to professionals and amateurs , Zentoten, a club for ceramists, has been expanding its activities across Japan since its start as what was called Tokokai.
We are grateful of the constant support from people who help us progress forward.
We want to step forward seeking “ Modernity” in every category of ceramics covering various forms of expression to household goods.

We, therefore, ask all of you engaged with the art of ceramics to advise and guide our organization.
